Apply for a Study Permit

To apply for a study permit, a letter of acceptance is required from a designated learning institution. Along with that, a student may require to give a medical exam or a police clearance certificate.

Students are also required to open a GIC account of a minimum of $10,000 CAD before being approved for study permit.

Scholarships or financial support?

Students may be able to acquire some scholarships or bursaries through the colleges or universities in which they are enrolled. They should contact the school financial aid office to see what scholarships or bursaries are available to international students.

Most schools provide in-campus housing options to international students. A student can also contact international student office to inquire about the off-campus housing options available. A good place to start can be craigslist or Kijiji. com
