Express Entry
Express Entry
Express Entry is an online system which is used to manage immigration applications from skilled workers. Roughly after a period of two weeks, the Canadian Government conducts a draw where they issue Invitation to Apply (ITA), for the Canadian Permanent Residence to the highest-ranking profiles in the pool of express entry candidates.
There are three immigration programs managed through Express Entry:
Canadian Experience Class
for skilled workers who have Canadian work experience
work experience must have been gained in the 3 years before you apply
Federal Skilled Worker Program
for skilled workers with foreign work experience
must meet criteria for education and other factors
Federal Skilled Trades Program
for skilled workers who are qualified in a skilled trade
must have a valid job offer or a certificate of qualification
Application Process
Find out under which program you are eligible to apply
Submit your profile and get a score based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)
If received invitation to apply, submit your application with the supporting documents within 60 days
Documents required
Language tests
Police Certificates
Medical exams
Proof of funds
Written job offer from employer detailing proof of experience along with the duties performed
If applicable, marriage / divorce / adoption certificates
